Good Young Days is all about fondly remembering right now. It’s alright to acknowledge we’re in the moment we’re going to be talking about for years to come.

As the year 2020 was closing, I thought a lot about the people I had the pleasure of meeting and how much my friends pulled through for me. It dawned on me that I just had too many stories to tell, especially ones I wanted to get out of the way before the start of a fresh new year. That’s when I went a little overboard. From November to December I wrote all of 22 songs that I recorded every instrument for. Starting with drums, bass, guitar chords and leads, percussion, writing lyrics, recording lead vocals and finishing it off with layers of backing vocals. The process was intense, sleep-depriving and emotional, but most of all a lot of fun.

The result is “To All Those Affected”, thank-you notes to everyone who had to deal with me in some way. I’m very lucky some of my very talented friends got to make an appearance on the album too, so special thanks to Adam Allison, EMMY, Max Coenders, Celine Rae, Imro Sellink and Ryan Scottie. Those beautifully moody photographs were taken by the very talented Melissa Vermeulen. The record was mixed by myself and mastered by the incredible Jasper Pouw at Bold Studios. Hope you all remember to live a little.
